About Us

Hi there! I'm Carla, the boss lady and the custodian (and every other possible position) here at Mudcat Clay. That guy in the picture with me is Mr. Mudcat Trav! We live in north Mississippi and have a love for all things Mississippi and  Mississippi State University. We also kind of like traveling!

Mudcat Clay has been a vision and a dream since 2020 when I discovered the world of polymer clay. Like many during the pandemic, I needed a hobby...and some earrings! In few short months, a hobby became a passion which has now become a profession. At the end of 2024, I left my fulltime position at Mississippi State University to pursue my love of jewelry making.
